I've been asked by some folks, "Do you EVER sleep?" LOL Because it appears I am working on something creative 24/7 - I assure you this is just an illusion. I do sleep! And I like to "noodle around" during my off hours. Because I have never been much of a TV watcher - I have this little lap drawing table in the Livingroom where I like to sketch up-coming pen & ink drawings. This is one I am working on tonight with PBS news on in the background -
I love foxes. In fact, one of my favorite avatars when I used to hang out in virtual worlds was that of a fox who I named Kitsune. I rarely interacted with anyone else in that virtual world when I was a fox - preferring instead to explore the forests and large nature parks in solitude. Becoming a wild animal for a while is a wonderful way explore the more hidden parts of one's psyche if you can remain open to it.
I chose the Japanese word for Fox, "Kitsune" because Foxes are a common subject of Japanese folklore; Stories depict legendary foxes as intelligent beings and as possessing paranormal abilities that increase as they get older and wiser. (I'd like to believe I'm doing that too!) LOL!
I fell in love with this illustration as it mirrored the way I felt when I was exploring the virtual world in my Fox avatar, a human masquerading as a fox - or was I really a Fox all along, masquerading as a human?
Until next time ... Here is a very bizarre and funny song by Ylvis - "What Does the Fox Say?"
